What Would Life Be Like Without Engineers?
According to studies by the World Economic Forum (WEF), the demand for engineers is expected to continue growing, driven by advances in artificial intelligence, automation, green energy, and modern infrastructure.
In fact, people rely on hundreds of engineering solutions every day. Electricity, the Internet, roads, bridges, elevators, water supply systems, transportation, and even smartphones are all products of engineering. It is difficult to imagine modern life without them.
Data from the International Energy Agency (IEA) indicate that renewable energy technologies, electrical engineering, automation, and smart infrastructure are among the most in-demand fields of the future.
In response to these trends, education is evolving as well. Starting from the 2026/2027 academic year, the Engineering School of Kimyo International University in Tashkent will offer 3-year full-time bachelor's programmes in 10 disciplines. The practice-oriented curriculum enables students to earn their bachelor's degree one year earlier than the traditional timeframe.
The programmes include Civil Engineering, Renewable Energy, Elevator Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Construction and Installation of Engineering Communications, Information Systems Engineering, Traffic Management, and Interior Design.
After all, it is engineers who build the world of tomorrow.
