Uzbek language and literature
The Uzbek Language and Literature bachelor’s program at Kimyo International University in Tashkent is designed to prepare specialists with strong knowledge of the Uzbek language, national and world literature, speech culture, and modern pedagogical approaches.
The program develops professional competencies in linguistics, literary studies, pedagogy, research activities, official communication, and analytical work.
Its primary goal is to prepare specialists who can effectively teach Uzbek language and literature using modern educational methodologies while successfully contributing to academic and professional fields.
Curriculum Overview
The program is a 4-year bachelor’s degree consisting of 160 credits and 240 ECTS. The curriculum integrates linguistics, literary studies, pedagogy, teaching methodology, official documentation, classical text analysis, and modern language technologies.
During the first year, students study the foundations of philology, including Uzbek language, Uzbek and world literature, speech culture, media literacy, and linguistics.
The second year focuses on Navoi studies, research methodology, academic and creative writing, old Uzbek language and script, and official correspondence.
In the third year, methodological and practical training becomes more intensive. Students study teaching methodology, literary analysis, computational linguistics, and modern pedagogical approaches.
During the final year, students study literary theory, theoretical linguistics, innovative educational technologies, and educational management, while also completing pre-graduation teaching practice.

The program places special emphasis on international academic cooperation, methodological exchange, scientific seminars, training sessions, and research communication. It aims to modernize national philology and language education in accordance with international standards.
