International Women's Day is celebrated every year on March 8th. This day celebrates the role and achievements of women in social, economic, cultural and political life. Yesterday, the Russian language department and the Department of spiritual and educational work of the university organized a special event in connection with this actual day. The main goal of the event was to draw attention to the role of women in society and their achievements in various fields, as well as highlight issues of gender equality.
The event program was very diverse and included various cultural performances and video greetings. The event was attended by professors and teachers of our university, active women and students. In the introductory part of the event, University’s acting rector Karimjon Akhmedjanov made a congratulatory speech and emphasized the role of women in society. The main part of the event featured cultural performances prepared by students studying in various faculties. Students from the USA also took an active part. Performances included various genres such as dance, music, poetry recitation and drama. Each performance was unique, creative and captivating.
In short, this event, organized on the eve of International Women's Day, not only provided a solemn celebration of the significant day, but also expanded the understanding of important social issues among students. This event will undoubtedly remain in the memory and hearts of the participants for a long time.
