A student of Kimyo International University in Tashkent is heading to Qatar to participate in the "Seeds for the Future" educational project


On August 30, 2023 the annual educational project of Huawei "Seeds for the Future" for students of Uzbekistan was launched. The Ministry of Digital Technologies hosted the launch ceremony of the project, which is part of Huawei's corporate social initiative to support talents around the world. In order to support the project participants, before their departure to Doha, the Minister of Digital Technologies Sherzod Shermatov took part in the launch ceremony. He delivered a congratulatory speech and wished the participants further success.
As we previously reported, Oleg Pak, a 3rd year student of the Information Systems Engineering faculty, became one of the winners of this competition. Oleg is also a software engineer at the international company - EPAM Uzbekistan. Our student, as well as other 14 students from 6 higher educational institutions of Uzbekistan, with the support of the Ministry of Digital Technologies, will go to Qatar to study in IT areas and participate in the Tech4Good regional competition.
This year in Doha, 175 students from universities in 15 countries of the Middle East and Central Asia, including Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, UAE, Bahrain, Kazakhstan, Pakistan, Oman, Jordan, Lebanon, Iraq, Azerbaijan, Mongolia, and Kyrgyzstan, will participate in the project together with students from Uzbekistan. During the program (2-9 September, 2023) participants will come together to improve their digital skills, share knowledge, raise awareness in the ICT sector and develop a digital community of young talents, and create their own project to submit at the Tech4Good competition. The aim of the competition is to involve young people in creating positive changes in their local communities through the use of digital solutions to achieve the sustainable development goals (UN SDGs). In case of successful submission of their projects on Tech4Good, participants will have a chance to move on to the second stage, which will be held in Dubai from 10 to 16 September, 2023. According to the results of the acceleration program, Tech4Good winners will be eligible to take part in the final global competition in China.
