Daegu University

Centuries-old ties, reliable friendly and strategic partnership form a solid basis for Uzbek-South Korean relations. Relations between the two countries in the field of education today are developing at a high level.

A clear proof of this is that on November 25 of this year, the founder of Kimyo International University in Tashkent Prof. Alisher Vakhobov, at the invitation of the President of Daegu University, Dr. Soon-jin Park, visited this university on a working visit.

We remind you that in 2019, a memorandum of cooperation was signed between Kimyo International University in Tashkent (KIUT) and Daegu University, and at the moment about 120 students are studying in joint programs 1+3, 2+2.

It was noted that in order to develop long-term cooperation between universities, issues of expanding the scope of new programs were considered. In particular, a work plan was drawn up to create joint programs in the areas of Engineering, Information Technology and Nursing.

During the negotiations, special attention was paid to the scientific significance of cooperation between universities in the field of education. In addition to joint programs, the main goals were the exchange of professors, the introduction of training programs, and the establishment of scientific, technical and intellectual cooperation. The importance of studying and implementing the unique achievements of the Korean national experience in training personnel for KIUT was noted.

During open negotiations, an exchange of views took place on plans for the near future and the practical results of the planned measures.

The official visit of the founder of KIUT, Prof. Alisher Vakhobov, to South Korea continues.
