KIUT Delegation Visits the University of Chicago, a Leading Center of Global Research and Economic Thought
The University of Chicago, renowned for its contributions to global economic thought and its association with numerous Nobel Prize laureates, was the next destination of the Kimyo International University in Tashkent (KIUT) delegation during its visit to the United States.
Led by KIUT Founder, Professor Alisher Vahobov, the delegation visited the University of Chicago, one of the most prestigious higher education institutions in the United States, to explore its academic environment, research culture, and student life.
Founded in 1890, the University of Chicago has earned international recognition for its groundbreaking research in economics, business, law, political science, medicine, and the natural sciences.
One of the university's most influential contributions is the Chicago School of Economics, which has played a significant role in shaping modern economic thought. The research of renowned economists such as Milton Friedman, George Stigler, and Gary Becker has had a lasting impact on approaches to market economics, monetary policy, and the economic analysis of human behavior.
For the KIUT delegation, the visit provided an opportunity to gain firsthand insight into how a leading research university organizes its academic activities, fosters independent thinking, and supports student research.
Such visits offer valuable opportunities to explore international best practices and consider how they can contribute to further strengthening the quality of education and research at KIUT.
