KIUT × DHU: K-Beauty — Science, Innovation and the Global Market
A KIUT delegation visited Daegu Haany University (DHU) in South Korea. The delegation was welcomed by DHU President and Founder Byun Chang Hoon, Vice President Moon Seup Kim, Dean of International Affairs Song Jichung, and other university representatives.
DHU has developed a K-Beauty ecosystem that integrates education, research and production in cosmetics, beauty and biohealth. Its model follows the full cycle: research → product development → testing → production → marketing → export.
During the visit, the KIUT delegation explored AI-based skin diagnostics, cosmetics laboratories and R&D centers.
The two universities agreed to develop cooperation in beauty aesthetics and the joint research and development of new cosmetics and products for skin, facial, hair and hand care.
The discussions also covered student and faculty exchanges, joint research and publications, co-development of new cosmetic products, and opportunities to bring these products to market in the future.
The goal is to combine Korea’s K-Beauty expertise with KIUT’s research potential and develop a “research-to-market” model in Uzbekistan.
