KIUT Discusses Two PhD Dissertations in Applied and Computational Linguistics
Two PhD research projects addressing current issues in modern linguistics were discussed at a Scientific Seminar under the Scientific Council PhD.03/2026.31.01.Fil.29.05 at Kimyo International University in Tashkent.
Durdona Samat qizi Abdurayimova explored age-related patterns in the use of the Uzbek language in social media communication.
Madina Boymurod qizi Asqarova presented her research on the principles of developing a linguistic terminology database within a parallel corpus of scientific texts.
Both dissertations were prepared in the field of 10.00.11 — Applied and Computational Linguistics for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Philological Sciences.
During the seminar, experts evaluated the scientific novelty, practical significance, and methodology of the studies and provided recommendations to the researchers.
Language transformation in the digital environment and the systematization of scientific terminology are increasingly important areas of modern linguistics. These two KIUT studies address exactly these issues.
