Our student is traveling from Qatar to Dubai

As we previously reported, 175 students from leading universities in the Middle East and Central Asia took part in an eight-day intensive ICT training program that included discussions on global topics, lectures on science and technology leadership, and group development of Tech4Good projects.

Oleg Pak, a student of the Information Systems Engineering faculty, together with the student team of Uzbekistan Techno Mind, successfully presented their projects and received a ticket to the second round. Students from Qatar, UAE, Jordan, Mongolia, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan will take part in the Tech4Good additional acceleration program in Dubai, UAE, September 10-16. According to the main organizer of the project, Huawei, the most popular members of each team were also recognized at the closing ceremony, who helped create a positive and comfortable atmosphere in the team for more effective preparation and presentation of the project. They were Oleg Pak, a student of Kimyo International University in Tashkent, and Asad Kayumov, a student of Turin Polytechnic University in Tashkent. After the second round of the regional Tech4Good competition in Dubai, the winners will be eligible to compete against teams from around the world in the final tournament in China. Students explore together the enormous potential of ICT for sustainable development. Winners of the global Tech4Good competition will be invited to the Tech4good Startup Sprint in China, where they will visit Shenzhen, Beijing and other cities to experience the real-life entrepreneurial environment and compete for a $100,000 startup fund.

The university team and Oleg’s teachers are following the progress of the competition with great hope. We wish great success to our student team!
